About TheFENG SF

Welcome to the San Francisco Chapter of FENG, the Financial Executives Networking Group. Our goal is to become the premier networking resource for finance professionals in the Bay Area. We provide ongoing career management services and help our members with job search and transition support through networking and continuing education events. Our sound bite is "you are either in between jobs or in between job searches.

One distinguishing feature of our organization is the support available from the National FENG organization, a social network of over 30,000 senior financial executives with expertise in all functional disciplines of finance. The FENG was established over 10 years ago and pioneered social networking in the accounting and finance community. New technologies, particularly internet connectivity, have made networking an even more powerful tool. Networking is a proven and time-tested method, providing the single best source of business and job opportunities.

Membership Mix

The San Francisco Chapter draws from a deep pool of proven management talent and financial disciplines, including private and public accounting, corporate finance, financial services, M&A, auditing, SOX compliance, tax, and treasury.

Organization

The San Francisco Chapter of FENG is a not-for-profit organization. On an annual basis, chapter members elect an Executive Committee, and the Executive Committee elects committee Chairpersons. Please refer to the Chapter Leadership page for more information.

Meeting Dates, Time and Location

We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm (third Tuesday in January and July) beginning with an hour of networking followed by a guest speaker who addresses relevant topics. Our meetings are held in San Francisco. We also have additional events in other locations throughout the SF Bay Area as described in the Meetings & Events page.

Membership

The FENG is a voluntary organization. Membership is free to qualified members. FENG is a very senior level organization. Almost without exception, members have held titles such as Chief Financial Officer, Controller or Treasurer of a significant organization and have anywhere from 15-20+ years of work experience.

Applications for membership should be submitted through the FENG National Website at http://www.thefeng.org. Each applicant is required to submit a resume and agree to adhere to our membership guidelines. Applicants must be sponsored by a current member. Membership requests are reviewed by the National Chairman, Matt Bud, with responses usually being received within two weeks of submission.
